Corumbau means “place far away” in Pataxó. . For us, Corumbau means “paradise.” In total, there are 15km of deserted beach, in a long and wide stretch of sand that advances into the ocean, creating an indescribable blue horizon. Fazenda São Francisco do Corumbau is in front of 1.5 km of this Bahia treasure with white sand and crystal clear water, surrounded by huge palm trees by the seaside and a long coral reef barrier, going as far as 10km into the sea and disappearing with the high tides. This nature spectacle continues with multi-colored cliffs that embrace the ocean creating a perfect natural frame.
About 1h towards the continent will take you to Monte Pascoal. Part of the Discovery Route, the place is inside an indigenous reserve, allowing you to admire a unique landscape and be in touch with the traditions of the remaining villages.
Rare species of birds and virgin vegetation are preserved by the local residents, composed mostly of fishermen. They are the ones who ensure delicious seafood and the fresh catch of the day, straight from their fishing boats to the hotel’s dining tables.
The weather is flat out perfect for a beach stay: sunny, mild temperatures, and the only noise you’ll hear are the sound of the waves – all-around peacefulness.
In a paradisiacal location, Fazenda São Francisco is the ideal setting to constantly enjoying nature. You can enjoy the seaside and the mangrove trails through a pleasant walk or pedaling on the bikes the hotel borrow. Slacklining synchronizes body and mind in the middle of coconut trees. In addition to enjoying the deserted beach and swimming in the blue sea, borrow boards to stand up paddle or rent kayaks to paddle to the corals!
To go even further, there is a menu of boat trips. The boats can lead you through the Corumbau River to get to know the mangroves, or thought the sea, to immerse yourself in the coral reefs or visit the beautiful Mirror Beach.
