Salta - Argentina

Salta, capital of the namesake province, is a preserved colonial town, which is hard to find in Argentina. Founded in the 16th century, Salta still keeps much of the architecture left behind by the Spanish colonization. The pre-colonization culture is also preserved, mainly at the Anthropological Museum dedicated to shamanism, and at Alta Montaña Archaeological Museum, displaying mummies and Inca objects.

Located on the eastern side of the Andes, the state of Salta is also known to have the highest wine routes in the world. The vine was introduced in the region by the Jesuits in the 18th century and you can be sure to find – and taste – great Argentine wines!

WHAT TO DO

It’s impossible not to disconnect and relax in such a peaceful environment. But that is no excuse to miss all the incredible outdoor activities. With the structure offered by Finca you can go horseback riding, hiking and immerse in the natural beauty surrounding you.

Strolling through the city center of Salta is also delightful. The place is filled with history and brings the feeling of going back in time, with its Spanish colonial architecture. The gastronomy scene is also a highlight.

If you have time for a longer trip, be sure to visit Quebrada Humauaca, Puna, Salinas Grandes Valles Calchaquies, among others.
