Silence. Balance. Contemplation. Expansion. Body. Mind. Harmony. Oxygen. Salt. Sun. Life. A manifestation of the force of nature. Wind that leaves nothing in place, in silent and permanent transformation. How much is the experience of being reunited with yourself worth? It is something immeasurable, inestimable. Faraway? But possible. The Zorah Beach Hotel has provided the proper setting for it since September 2013, in the idyllic Trairi, on the coast of Ceará. A kitesurfing spot, as a vocation, and alive with natural beauty par excellence, the infrastructure-restricted village extends sophistication and privacy throughout the Guajiru sands, within a scenery of dunes, coconut trees and the breathtaking emerald sea. An environment sought by those who wish to empty their minds and reconnect with nature.
SUL Hotels Tip: During the low tide, natural swimming pools form along the beach, where you can snorkel or relax with the natural massage offered by the combined action of the current and the wind. Another tip: to enjoy a spectacular sunset, travel up the Mundaú River by boat, watch the vivacity of the mangrove swamp, have a refreshing freshwater bath and then choose your favorite angles to eternalize the sunset.
All the decor is inspired by Asian elements, which creates a certain meditative and involving atmosphere. The objects and furniture were brought from places like Bali, India and Middle Eastern countries. The highlight is an imposing Buddha weighting over a ton that dignifies the pool area. All accommodations are equipped with king-size beds, Egyptian cotton bedding, Trussardi towels, goose down pillows, solar heated showers, hydromassage bathtubs, cable TV, air conditioning, espresso® coffee makers and L’Occitane amenities. In total, there are 22 units, divided into three categories:
There are 16 units with 50 m² each and a balcony.

An exclusive unit styled as a luxury bungalow with a private pool, a balcony with a jacuzzi, a view of the ocean and a wine cellar, among other amenities, within a 140-m² area.
High-standard, comfortable and welcoming facilities, offering exclusive itineraries. Opened in September 2013, the Zorah Beach Hotel is the materialization of Indian Sumeet Dhillona’s dream. A swimming pool, massage cabins, a belvedere, an oceanfront deck, a whirlpool and other technological amenities, such as Wi-Fi in public areas, make this the ideal hotel for days of celebration of the good life. It is in a floor area of 3,200 m² on a large plot with 10 thousand m². Among the Asian references selected for decoration, which are a true wonder, there are centenary pieces imported from Asian antique stores as well as sinks made of volcanic stone. The delicacies prepared in the traditional tandoor oven made of Indian clay, as the lamb marinated with spices, are also unique. Sustainability is a business concern as well; we use certified woods, LED lighting and solar heated showers.
Described in the classic book Iracema, by José de Alencar, as an idyllic place with white-sand beaches set against green waters, Trairi was “discovered” by tourism only in this century. From the year 2000 onwards, lodging options appeared in the municipality, and the region started its new vocation – welcoming and charming outsiders. Artisanal fishermen continue their activities in the area, ensuring the daily supply of fresh fish and seafood to delight natives and visitors. The same is true for artisans and their authentic articles produced with local raw material. Nowadays, the Trairi beaches – Guajiru, Flecheiras, Emboaca and Mundaú – are part of a select group of dream destinations for kitesurfers. These beaches offer good conditions for the sport as they have a permanent wind regime incessantly sweeping the sand and brushing the waves. It is about 130 kilometers from Fortaleza, halfway between the capital of Ceará and Jericoacoara, another unique beauty of the Brazilian coast.
The hotel beach is Guajiru, a place of unquestionable scenic beauty whose main form of subsistence is artisanal fishing, also enjoying the reputation of one of the best kitesurfing spots due to its sideshore wind currents. The low tide reveals natural swimming pools that welcome snorkeling. We also recommend renting a quad, a buggy or a 4×4 car to explore the dunes in the area, from where one can appreciate a beautiful sunset. You can also take musing raft tours through the calm waters of the region or get a good dose of adrenaline kitesurfing – the hotel offers lessons and support for beginners. The visit to the Mundaú Beach, 13 kilometers from the hotel, introduces guests to work of lacemakers and artisans as well as to the beautiful view the Mundaú River presents, cutting through the dunes and forming a sand peninsula at its entrance into the sea. Just 3 kilometers from Zorah, Flecheiras is the most bustling beach resort in Trairi, with beach huts, restaurants and bars on the sand. Finally, body treatments and massages using different relaxation techniques are available at the Zorah’s premises.
It is about 130 kilometers from Fortaleza, the capital of Ceará, regularly served by the main Brazilian airlines. By car, take the CE-085 highway and then the CE-163 highway to Trairi. The hotel also offers a shuttle service, charged separately.
